BreadVac — Airtight Bread Storage Container

The BreadVac is a 10-litre airtight bread storage container that keeps bread, baguettes, and baked goods fresh for significantly longer than a regular bread box. It uses the same patented vacuum seal as the rest of the TightVac range. Press the button, close the lid, and the seal locks out air and moisture, the two main reasons bread goes stale or grows mould.

Bread starts going stale the moment it comes out of the oven. The starches in the crumb begin to crystallise as they cool, a process called retrogradation. Air exposure speeds this up dramatically. Moisture loss makes bread dry and tough, while too much trapped moisture leads to mould. Most traditional bread boxes only slow this down slightly.

The BreadVac's airtight seal creates a controlled environment where moisture levels stay balanced and air exchange is minimised. The bread's own moisture stays in, external air stays out, and the result is bread that tastes fresh for days longer than it would in a bag or open bread bin.
