This is the smallest sealed container we make: a 0.06L jar that holds about 20g of dry goods and seals it against air and damp in something that fits a coin pocket. How to choose
Buy the VitaVac for what it actually is: the smallest thing in the range, for about 20g, no more. One honest point first. It is a one-button airlock, a partial vacuum, not a motorised pump. That is plenty to keep air and damp off a day of vitamins or a spice pinch, which is all this size is for. Do not overfill it, and hand-wash it in warm water rather than putting it through the dishwasher. Getting it right
Press the lid and you feel it settle with a soft pfff. That is the air leaving. Keep pills and vitamins dry and out of the light by storing them sealed rather than in an open blister on the side. Decant a day or two at a time and refill from the big bottle at home, so the main supply stays shut. For spices, fill a small portion and top it up before a trip. Open the jar slowly so nothing fine catches in the seal, and keep it in the same pocket of the same bag so it is always where you reach for it.

How much does the VitaVac hold?
The VitaVac is 0.06L, which is about 20g of dry goods. That is roughly a day or two of vitamins and pills, a pinch of spice, or a small handful of something fine. It is deliberately the smallest sealed container in the range. If you want closer to 40g, the next size up is the MiniVac 0.12L, and the kitchen sizes start at 0.8L in the TightVac range.
Is the VitaVac a good travel pill box?
Yes. It holds a day or two of pills or vitamins, seals them against air and damp, and will not pop open or rattle loose in a bag. Because it is airtight it keeps moisture out far better than a soft blister strip rolling around a pocket, so your tablets stay dry between doses. Is the VitaVac a true vacuum?
No. It is a one-button airlock that pulls a partial vacuum, not a motorised pump. Press the lid, the air leaves with a soft pfff, and the seal holds air, moisture and light out. For 20g of pills or spice that is exactly enough. If you want a stronger pull-down vacuum for coffee, that is the CoffeeVac 3-in-1 Pump, a different job in a much bigger container.
Can I keep spices in a VitaVac?
Yes, small portions. Ground spices are light and fluffy, so they fill the jar before they reach 20g by weight, which is fine for a camping trip or a packed lunch. The vacuum seal keeps them dry and holds their aroma up to 3x longer than a folded paper packet. If you want a built-in shaker lid for the table, look at the SpiceVac instead.
How do I clean it?
Hand-wash with warm water and let it dry fully before you seal it again, so no damp is trapped inside. Do not put it in the dishwasher. The body is BPA-free, food-grade plastic, so it is safe to reuse day after day for food, vitamins and spices. A dry jar seals better and keeps your contents dry, which is the whole point of the VitaVac.
